1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Becoming, a service operated by Pampaware LLC. By accessing or using Becoming, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms apply to Becoming’s public website, web app, browser extension, and related services. They are also intended to provide the baseline terms for future mobile apps, APIs, MCP endpoints, and integrations, with product-specific additions where needed.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Becoming.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for maintaining the security of your credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Becoming may offer sign-in methods such as email/password and third-party sign-in providers like Google. Your use of those providers may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
3. The Service
Becoming is a personal growth platform that turns reading highlights into lived practice. It helps users import, organize, revisit, and work with their own reading-derived content through experiences such as Daily Review, Themes, Practices, and related features.
We may add, remove, improve, or change features over time. We do not guarantee that any feature or workflow will remain available forever in its current form.
4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing
Some parts of Becoming may require a paid subscription or one-time payment. Pricing, billing intervals, and included features may vary by plan.
For subscription plans that include a free trial, the current trial period is 7 days. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you may be charged automatically for the selected plan.
Stripe is used to process checkout, subscription billing, and billing-management flows. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize charges consistent with the plan you select and the billing method you provide through Stripe.
We may change pricing or plan structure prospectively. Changes will not retroactively alter charges already incurred.
5. Founding Member Plan
Becoming may offer a Founding Member plan as a one-time purchase that provides lifetime access to Academy-tier access as offered by Becoming over time.
Founding Member availability may be limited, and Becoming may close, pause, or change the offering at any time.
Lifetime access does not mean every feature will remain identical forever. Becoming may evolve features, product structure, limits, and delivery methods over time while continuing to honor the core purchased access to the extent described in the offering.
6. Refunds
Except where required by law, fees are generally non-refundable.
Becoming may choose to issue refunds, credits, or other accommodations on a case-by-case basis in its sole discretion. Offering a refund once does not obligate us to do so again in the future.
7. User Content and Permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit to Becoming, including imported highlights, notes, source information, tags, and related materials.
You grant Pampaware LLC the rights needed to host, store, copy, process, organize, display, transmit, transform, and otherwise use that content solely to operate, maintain, improve, secure, and provide Becoming and related features.
You represent that you have the rights needed to provide content to Becoming and to authorize us to process it under these Terms.
8. AI-Assisted Features and Usage Limits
Becoming may use automated and AI-assisted systems to generate or support features such as Themes, Practices, recommendations, summaries, and other outputs grounded in your content and use of the service.
AI-generated output is provided for informational and reflective purposes only. It is not professional medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other regulated advice, and it may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances.
Becoming may apply and change usage limits, fair-use rules, feature caps, anti-abuse controls, or eligibility requirements for AI-assisted features at any time.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not use Becoming in violation of law or in a way that harms the service, other users, or third parties.
You may not abuse imports, scraping workflows, automation, integrations, rate limits, AI features, authentication systems, or security boundaries.
You may not interfere with the reliability, integrity, or normal operation of Becoming, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use the service to build competing datasets or services in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law.
10. Integrations, Extension, Mobile, APIs, and MCP
Becoming may interact with connected services, browser extensions, future mobile apps, APIs, MCP endpoints, and third-party tools. Some of these access channels may be used directly by end users, not only by software developers.
We may suspend, restrict, or change access to any integration or connected access channel for security, abuse prevention, reliability, legal, or product reasons.
Your use of third-party services together with Becoming may also be subject to those third parties’ own terms, policies, and technical constraints.
11. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Becoming at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of Becoming if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, create legal or security risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or if suspension or termination is reasonably necessary to protect Becoming, our users, or third parties.
Termination or suspension does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
12. Disclaimers
Becoming is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, continued availability of any specific feature, or that the service will meet every expectation or produce any particular personal outcome.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pampaware LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Pampaware LLC for claims arising out of or relating to Becoming or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to Becoming in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), whichever is greater.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Becoming must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and Pampaware LLC consent to that forum and venue.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date on this page and provide additional notice where appropriate.
By continuing to use Becoming after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
